Assistant HSE Manager

Position: Safety Assistant

Location: Cleveland, OH

Schedule: Variable working hours but typically M-F

Work Management:

• Under the direction of the Site Safety Manager, monitors compliance with applicable safety and environment regulations.
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Must be a "Team Player' and have strong work ethics.
• Minimum 2 years work experience managing or coordinating an industrial safety program.
• Applicants with Associates, Bachelors or Masters Degree in an ABET accredited Safety program are highly preferred.

Personnel and Staff Development:

• Administers the attendance and safety incentives for each month.
• Supports company policies, dress codes, work rules, safety rules, and ethics.
• Safety and Environmental Coordination:
• Supports the day to day operation of the Company wide EH&S program.
• Monitors and documents compliance with applicable OSHA, Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
• Prepares required reports to corporate headquarters, host steel mills and government agencies if required.
• Maintains library of safety and environment documentation and revises when necessary.
• Documents and monitors prevention training and reporting on accidents and injuries.
