Compensation: This position is hourly, and the starting pay rate is $XX.XX/hour and 4% vacation pay. The Learning and Development Consultant Senior provides professional partnership with the business to diagnose skill gaps and design, deliver, and continuously improve skillsbased learning solutions that drive employee performance and growth at Grainger. Applying Grainger's Essential Skills framework, adult learning theory, and instructional design best practices, the role translates complex business needs into practical, engaging learning experiences across ILT, VILT, blended pathways, microlearning, and performance support. The role serves as both instructional designer and facilitator, creating and delivering learning assets while adapting in real time to maximize learner engagement, application, and sustained behavior change. Acting as a trusted consultative partner, the role owns learning projects end to end and coaches learners, managers, and leaders to apply skills on the job within the enterprise learning ecosystem.
This is a hybrid position that is onsite in Lake Forest 2 days a week.
