Key Responsibilities:

System Design, Configuration & Support
  • Design and configure Workday modules including HCM, Time, Absence, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, and Talent Management.
  • Provide daily production support and ongoing system enhancements across all Workday functional areas.
  • Lead testing, validation, and deployment of Workday releases and new functionality.
  • Conduct regular audits of system usage, performance, and data integrity to drive continuous improvement.
Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics
  • Build and enhance Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Discovery Board reports to deliver actionable insights.
  • Maintain and optimize the HR custom report library (over 900 reports), implementing guidelines to streamline naming, tagging, and sharing.
  • Develop dashboards for employee year-end tasks, HRIS workspace, and leadership decision-making.
  • Develop and generate reports to provide insights into key HR metrics.

Payroll & Time Management

  • Support Weekly and Bi-Weekly payroll, pay groups, schedules, accruals, and time-off plans.
  • Build paid sick leave time off plans for compliance across multiple states, including carryover, balance limits, and eligibility conditions.
  • Provided hands-on training, SOPs, and payroll process checklists.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Support Workday data integration projects across the US and Canada, supporting over 1400 employees.
  • Streamline census data templates and EIB load processes to reduce integration time and errors.
Training & Support
  • Provide training and support to HR staff and other users on how to effectively utilize the HRIS (Workday) Platform.
Security & Compliance
  • Create and maintain User-Based, Unconstrained, Constrained Role-Based, and Segmented Security Groups.
  • Maintain system compliance with federal, state, and local regulations through business process audits and regular system reviews.
  • Administer user access, security groups, domain policies, and business process permissions.
Process Optimization & Project Management
  • Consolidate entities as needed across the US and Canada to simplify payroll and HRIS workload.
  • Support the implementation of Talent, Advanced Compensation, and Performance modules in Phase-X.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using Workday's Request Framework for key HR processes including Job Accommodation, Tuition Reimbursement, and Benefits Appeals.
Recruiting & Talent Management
  • Support Recruiting operations by creating positions, closing legacy requisitions, update templates and grid views to improve efficiency.
  • Partner with HR team to configure internal/external offer letters, performance review processes, and annual bonus structures.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS with in-depth Workday HCM and deep understanding of end-to-end HR processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills.
  • Direct expertise in configuring and supporting multiple Workday modules: HCM, Payroll, Time, Absence, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, and Reporting.
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Dashboards, Security Administration, and integration.
  • Project management skills, with a history of leading system implementations or enhancements.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data integrity, compliance, and system governance.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Workday certifications in one or more functional areas
  • Expertise in Workday modules, configurations, and integrations
  • Deep understanding of HR processes, technical expertise, and a strong ability to align technology with business goals.
  • Strong Leadership and collaboration skills
  • Experience working across multiple legal entities and countries (U.S. and Canada).
  • Knowledge of employment regulations across multiple U.S. states and provinces.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, multi-entity, or private equity environment is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Travel will be <10%
  • Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time while frequently typing, viewing computer screens and use of mouse/keyboard.
  • Operation of office equipment to include but not limited to telephones, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Repetitive motion of data entry, hand, finger wrist motion and dexterity.
  • May include filing and handling paperwork may involve reaching, grasping, or bending.
  • Light lifting and carrying of office supplies, files, or boxes (generally under 25 lbs.).
  • Will require walking and standing during the office hours.
  • Good vision for reading and screen use.
  • Clear verbal communication and active listening, often over the phone or video calls.
