Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
Job Duration: 6 month contract plus extensions, or to hire.
Job Overview: As a Cybersecurity Analyst with a focus on researching, developing security programs, assisting with incident response efforts, leading the training and awareness program, and establishing/populating a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) database, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our organization. You will work closely with our Information Security team to research emerging threats, assist in the development of security programs, and contribute to the development and management of our cybersecurity program.
Job Responsibilities:



  • Assist with incident response with a focus on phishing threats.
  • Lead cyber security awareness, training and information assurance efforts.
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging cybersecurity threats and contribute to the development of security programs and policies.
  • Assist in establishing a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) database, ensuring the documentation of security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to support security incident response efforts are also crucial aspects of the position.
  • Regular reporting on security program status and meticulous documentation of processes are integral to the role's responsibilities.
  • Manage SaaS Email Protection system to include response to issues and response to customers.


Job Qualifications:



  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn and contribute to the field.
  • Intermediate understanding with security concepts and principles.
  • Ability to identify phishing attempts with the use of vendor tools or other methods.
  • Basic understanding of incident response procedures.
  • Basic understanding of attack frameworks. (MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Basic knowledge of GRC practices and frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of state legislative processes and how they influence cyber security
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Experience with common office software and tools.
