Job Title: Bench Scientist II
Location: Cambridge, MA, 100% Onsite Duration: Initial contract: 12 months, Strong likelihood of extension for an additional year (up to 24 months total) Target Start Date * ASAP * Realistically expected: Early to Mid-August, following interviews and onboarding Position Overview We are seeking a Bench Scientist II to support discovery research activities, primarily focused on cell culture, molecular biology, and immunology-related laboratory work. This is a hands-on laboratory position supporting ongoing research programs. Interview Process 1. Initial phone/video interview with Hiring Manager 2. Onsite panel interview with team members Required Qualifications Candidates should have experience in a laboratory setting with: * Cell culture * Molecular biology techniques * Immunology-related research * Antibody-related assays/testing * General laboratory experimentation Animal Work Candidates do not need prior animal handling experience but must be: * Comfortable working with laboratory animals (primarily mice) * Comfortable with tissue collection/dissection * Open to learning animal handling procedures Training will be provided for: * Tissue isolation/dissection * Animal handling * Mouse dosing procedures (IP injections) Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) * Flow Cytometry * ELISA experience * Tissue processing experience * Animal dosing experience * Antibody characterization/testing Experience Requirements * Academic research experience is acceptable * Industry experience is not mandatory * Research technicians and laboratory personnel from universities, research institutes, biotech, or pharma environments are encouraged Target Candidate Profile Strong candidates may come from: * Pharmaceutical companies * Biotechnology companies * Academic research laboratories * Universities such as UMass, Boston University, and other research-focused institutions Candidates with backgrounds in: * Immunology * Cell Biology * Molecular Biology * Translational Research * Antibody Research Please prioritize candidates who: ? Have hands-on cell culture and molecular biology experience ? Have immunology and/or antibody research exposure ? Are comfortable handling mice and tissue collection after training ? Can work onsite 100% in Cambridge, MA ? Have ELISA and/or Flow Cytometry experience (preferred but not mandatory) | |
