Responsibilities

The Pursuits Specialist IIIprovides support to the marketing team by performing multiple tasks on a project as assigned by their supervisor. The Pursuits Specialistwill take on an increasing role and responsibility for the project. APursuits Specialist III should be efficient in their work with limited supervision and effectively manage responsibilities, priorities, and deadlines. Reaches out to the supervisor when overloaded or does not have enough workload. Present a positive customer and employee service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex proposal sections and multi-part projects, synthesizing information, drafting high-quality content, and coordinating SME input.
  • Develop persuasive, client-focused narratives, including strong value propositions, win themes, and competitive messaging.
  • Analyze RFP requirements and evaluation criteria to ensure compliance and identify strategic opportunities or risks.
  • Manage proposal review cycles, integrating stakeholder feedback to improve clarity, consistency, and competitiveness.
  • Contribute to pursuit strategy, offering insights on positioning, differentiation, and competitive analysis.
  • Conduct advanced client, market, and competitor research to inform content and strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare polished client-facing materials, including presentations and oral proposal content.
  • Provide informal guidance to junior team members on best practices and proposal processes.
  • Maintain and improve proposal templates, content libraries, and knowledge resources to enhance team efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of marketing or proposal coordination experience.
    • Experience in the AEC industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign) with strong capability in Microsoft Office and other industry-standard software.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and grammar skills.
  • Proven ability to enhance and support creative processes with insight and collaboration.
  • Good understanding of integrated marketing processes and research methods.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to independently prioritize multiple deadline-driven projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
