This System Engineeringiposition is an exciting opportunity responsible for Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) task order execution in support of the highly successful Command and Control Consolidated System supporting the C-SAR program based in Colorado Springs, CO.iThe successful candidate, as part of our engineering team, will work with our management, product, and IR&D teams to help create strategic technical visions. Additionally, they will support requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation generation/updates. The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, and ensure project objectives are met.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to



  • Supporting the C-SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
  • Perform studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews
  • Support Interface Control Document generation and recurring ICWGs with internal/external stakeholders
  • Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule
  • Support SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite)
  • Requirementis decomposition and analysis
  • System design and architecture
  • Support Reliability analysis
  • System documentation generation and updates
  • Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions
  • Developiand deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, statusireports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level
  • Attend and supportihighly technical engineering team meetings
  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years engineering experience
  • BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent
  • Experience/background with proposing software solutions
  • Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews
  • Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
  • Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, and system development processes is a plus.
  • Attend and supportihighly technical engineering team meetings


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Space to Ground ICDs
  • SCN (formally AFSCN)
  • MBSE
  • Experience as a Product Owner or other relevant roles
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000
