Job Summary
A public-sector investment organization is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise content management (ECM), business analysis, process improvement, and document governance initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate current document management practices, define future-state requirements, improve workflows, and support enterprise-wide content governance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current enterprise content management (ECM) processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and evaluate business workflows, risks, compliance requirements, and operational gaps.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Design standardized document management processes including:
    • Document intake
    • Storage and retrieval
    • Version control
    • Approval workflows
    • Classification
    • Retention policies
  • Develop governance frameworks including metadata, taxonomy, document libraries, templates, security, and content types.
  • Document system processes, data flows, file management strategies, and operational procedures.
  • Understand system integrations, document repositories, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies for system enhancements and workflow improvements.
  • Create user documentation, job aids, and training materials.
  • Support reporting, data analysis, and document-driven business insights.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Support strategic projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience.
  • 7+ years of requirements gathering and process improvement experience.
  • 7+ years of document or data lifecycle management experience.
  • 3+ years supporting Enterprise Content Management (ECM) strategies.
  • Experience working within government, investment, or financial services environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience creating:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Process maps
    • Technical documentation
    • Data flow diagrams
    • Document flow documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process automation tools.
  • Experience with reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of investment management or financial services.
  • Experience with enterprise document governance and content management best practices.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively identify and address areas needing attention or improvement. Required
Familiarity with process automation tools used to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Highly desired
Experience working with reporting tools and dashboards to support business insights and decision-making. Highly desired
Understanding of investment, financial services, or a related business environment. Highly desired
