* Assist the Used Equipment Remarketing Manger in managing the availability & readiness of Used Equipment Inventory assets for resale. * Assist in managing repair/refurbishing for all machines in the used equipment inventory. * In conjunction with Used Equipment Remarketing Manager, review the quality of the CAT Used Marketing Inspections and ensure machines are being advertised. * Maintain quality and accurate machine descriptions for all inventory. * Manage Used Equipment Attachments for inventory needs as well as remarketing. * Manage warranty coverage for all used equipment being utilized as a rental unit. * Manage units on Service Loaner to ensure we are receiving loaner support from CAT when possible. * Manage units on demo to make sure deals are moving towards a sale or unit is returned. * Assist in managing and promoting our Cat Certified Used program. * Present Current used asset information in a more manageable & accurate way. * Track used trades/purchases upon deal closings to ensure repairs start in a timely fashion for enhanced availability for resale. * Work cooperatively with the Used Equipment Sales Manager on improving all aspects of current used equipment offerings with proactive suggestions for to-go-market strategies and simplified transactions. * Oversee the accuracy of all trade in units to ensure the equipment is delivered as represented. * All other duties as assigned Requirements
Education
Required: * High School or equivalent Preferred: * Associates Degree equivalent experience Experience
Required:
* Equipment knowledge
* Experience Coordinating with multiple parties
Preferred:
* 5 plus years equipment experience * Heavy Equipment knowledge (equipment operator, heavy equipment or diesel technician: technical trainer; vocational instructor; other construction related fields.) * Must have experience in dealing with markets that consume high value capital goods * Experience in dealing with the appraisal and inspection process of construction equipment and advanced knowledge of the intricacies of the equipment for sale while understanding the value gained or lost in repairing/refurbishing equipment to maximize profitability. * Ability to collaborate across departments and build long-term customer relationships.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Primary work is performed in an office or service facility environment with frequent communication by phone and computer. * Tasks involve sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and reaching with arms. * Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling may be required, especially when verifying equipment status in the yard or assisting with parts logistics. * Employees are regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with technicians and customers; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. * Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving parts or equipment files) and safely handle heavier loads up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary. * Work may occasionally involve exposure to a warehouse or outdoor environment with moderate noise and varying weather conditions; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used as required.
