*Epic Project Manager* (Behavioral Health Hospital Activation) *Location:* Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
*Contract Length:* 6 Months with Strong Extension Potential Through 2028 *Travel:* As Needed (Travel costs covered for non-local candidates) About the Opportunity *Project Manager* to lead the final implementation and go-live activities for a new Behavioral Health Hospital in Dallas, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the activation of the hospital's pediatric behavioral health unit, scheduled to go live in *December 2026*. The adult wing is already operational, and the pediatric wing is approximately 80% complete. The selected Project Manager will help drive the final phases of implementation, testing, operational readiness, and go-live execution while partnering closely with executive leadership, physicians, nursing leaders, operational stakeholders, and Epic application teams. This project is expected to continue through multiple phases of expansion, creating strong potential for contract extensions through 2028. What You'll Do * Lead Epic implementation activities for the behavioral health hospital's pediatric unit activation * Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and milestone tracking * Coordinate across Epic application teams, operational leaders, physicians, nursing leadership, and executive stakeholders * Drive integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), training readiness, and go-live planning * Facilitate governance meetings, project status reporting, and executive communications * Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and aligned with organizational goals * Manage cross-functional teams and multiple Epic workstreams simultaneously * Support operational readiness activities related to hospital activation and patient care workflows * Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring successful deployment and adoption Required Qualifications * Proven experience as an *Epic Project Manager* * Experience leading Epic implementation, activation, expansion, or optimization initiatives within a hospital environment * Strong knowledge of Epic project lifecycle management, governance, build processes, testing, training, and go-live support * Experience supporting or managing *pediatric Epic workflows and build considerations* * Experience with hospital openings, facility expansions, new tower openings, or unit/service-line activations * Ability to effectively engage and influence physicians, nursing leadership, operational stakeholders, and executive teams * Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills * Ability to quickly assess project needs and contribute immediately * Willingness to work onsite in Dallas as needed throughout the project Preferred Qualifications * Experience in pediatric hospitals or pediatric service lines * Experience within an academic medical center * Behavioral health or psychiatric services experience * Experience supporting new hospital openings or major healthcare facility activations * Familiarity with: * Epic ClinDoc * Epic Orders * Epic Inpatient and Ambulatory workflows * Epic Behavioral Health workflows * Epic Security and Role Design * Reporting and Operational Readiness * Integrated Testing and UAT Ideal Experience Successful candidates may have experience with: * Pediatric clinical workflows * Adolescent behavioral health operations * Guardian/proxy access and consent workflows * Pediatric clinical documentation requirements * Age-specific clinical decision support * Pediatric medication and order workflows * Large-scale healthcare technology implementations Work Environment This is a *hybrid opportunity* based in Dallas, Texas. Candidates in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are strongly preferred; however, qualified candidates outside the area will be considered. Travel expenses for required onsite work will be covered.
