We're seeking a Cybersecurity Intern in our Atlanta, GA office to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact. This will be an UNPAID internship and available for school credit only. Expected hours would be 16 hours per week with one day onsite, if possible.

YOU WILL LEARN:




  • Endpoint security: how to deploy, monitor, and tune endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools



  • Vulnerability management: how to run scans, prioritize findings, and track remediation across systems and infrastructure



  • ISO 27001 & ISO 42001 compliance: how audit evidence, policies, and documentation are prepared and maintained



  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP): how to monitor, tune, and investigate DLP alerts



  • Security operations: day-to-day SOC activities, including alert triage and incident documentation



  • How security tooling, dashboards, and reporting are maintained and used to track program health



  • Incident response: how tabletop exercises and response plans are run and evaluated



  • Security awareness: how training initiatives and content are developed and delivered to employees



  • Penetration testing: reconnaissance, exploitation, and reporting methodology by shadowing internal assessments



WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:




  • Currently pursuing a degree (or recent graduate) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field



  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)



  • Exposure to security concepts such as vulnerability management, penetration testing, or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, Cyber Essentials Plus) is a plus



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams



  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail



  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple priorities



  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career in information security



  • Eager to learn, ask questions, and take initiative



  • Currently enrolled in college (or a recent graduate); relevant coursework, certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+), or CTF/club participation is a plus
