As a Security Officer Armed Foot Patrol Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and investigate unusual activity, following applicable policies for visitor management, restricted areas, and incident reporting.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift communications, while adhering to applicable laws, policies, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security related, corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Guard cardi is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
