Security Officer - Incident Dispatch

As a Security Officer Incident Dispatch in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will coordinate communications, monitor alarms and access activity, and support timely responses to security-related incidents. You will maintain accurate records, assist with badge and access control processes, and deliver exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and dispatch security-related communications, alarms, access concerns, service requests, and incident information to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift activity reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communications with on-site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while supporting a professional and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
