As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. A typical day for an Ultrasound Technician may include:

  • Prepares & sends specimens to labs in the absence of the secretary.
  • Prepares exam rooms before patient enters & cleans room following patient's exit.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by assisting them onto the table & instructing them in the procedure that is being performed.
  • Selects & records appropriate images for the permanent
  • The sonographer is competent in the production & analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis & treatment.
  • In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion & judgement in the performance of sonographic services.

To be considered for this Ultrasound Technician opportunity, you must:

  • Graduate of accredited School of Sonography
  • Certified by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/ Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
