THE POSITION

Located in scenic Honesdale, PA, Wayne County is seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional for a full-time Administrative Officer 1 position within the Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities Program. This position supports and oversees administrative operations while working with a dedicated team committed to providing quality services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports administrative oversight for the Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities Program by managing data, reviewing records, and tracking compliance across multiple requirements. It helps ensure accurate information, timely documentation, and coordinated communication across agencies and providers. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Incident Tracking: Collect and analyze incident management data and ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Data Reporting: Create and review provider risk screening reports and service authorization data from multiple sources
  • Policy Interpretation: Read policies and guidelines and apply directives to ensure accurate compliance
  • Agency Coordination: Work with outside organizations to support quality and adherence to program requirements
  • Eligibility Management: Maintain participant records, track documents, and submit information for waiver enrollment
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor timelines, authorizations, and required documentation for multiple program functions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Irregular hours, including evenings is required.
  • Overnight travel or out of County travel for meetings or training is required.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
