Overview This position provides complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities: System Enhancement - Performs a variety of actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications. Executes test plans to validate application functions as designed. Analysis - Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspects business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Drafts documentation to be used for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs. Technical Expertise - Responsible for complex involvement in the software development life cycle including the creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation of software. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. On-call Support - Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotations. Position Specific Skills: Advanced experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Core; JavaScript; HTML 5; XML; SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting Advanced experience with Microsft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system Advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system Ability to build strong collaborative and productive relationships In-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile) Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis Qualifications: Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 8 years' experience in Software application development and maintenance Preferred Education:Bachelor Degree Preferred Area of Study:Computer Science Preferred Area of Experience:MS.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Scripting; Powershell Scripting Required Licenses or Certifications: Preferred Licenses or Certifications: Additional Information Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AWS Services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), Snowflake, dbt, Python and SQL Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow Frontend experience with React and RESTful API integration Strong database skills (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, JSONB, data modeling) Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, etc.) Strong understanding of API development, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices Strong knowledge of release and configuration management tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps). Proficiency in SQL databases and experience with data migration/integration processes. Problem Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills toidentifyand resolve issues during the release process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Advanced experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Advanced experience with modern data warehousing and large-scale data processing technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, or equivalent platforms. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Advanced experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions utilizing tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, Astronomer or equivalent cloud-native data engineering technologies. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data engineering best practices. Experience in designing, developing, and supporting scalable and reliable data engineering solutions in enterprise environments. Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Additional qualifications are a plus Intermediate experience with Change Data Capture (CDC), streaming, and real-time data ingestion technologies such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Flink, Qlik Replicate, Snow pipe Streaming, or equivalent platforms. Intermediate experience integrating data across cloud and on-premises environments. Experience with Data Vault modeling and modern data warehousing methodologies. Intermediate understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and data quality management practices. Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, or other highly regulated industries. Experience using AI-powered development and productivity tools to improve engineering efficiency and delivery outcomes. AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, SnowPro Core Certification, SnowPro Advanced Data Engineer Certification, or equivalent cloud and data platform certifications.
