Scripps Cancer Center offers advanced chemotherapy services throughout San Diego County, with locations in Hillcrest, Torrey Pines, Rancho Bernardo, Oceanside and Encinitas. The Supervisor, Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) will be joining our team at Oceanside. To be successful, the Supervisor, PIC will have experience in a high volume, infusion center, skilled in providing direction to a team, and able to work collaboratively with specialists.

The Pharmacist in Charge will be a leader at our site at Scripps Mercy San Diego, confident in decision making, problem solving and developing policies.

Responsibilities include:

* Oversight, management, and operational functions of the pharmacy.

* Ensures the effective use of system resources, maintains regulatory compliance, upholds quality assurance standards, and delivers excellent patient care.

* Directs and supervises pharmacy staff, participates in hiring processes, oversees daily productivity, creates staffing schedules, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures.

* Responsible for the development and performance management of pharmacy staff.

* Establishes meaningful solutions to drive performance and growth and successfully implements strategic initiatives set forth by pharmacy leadership.

* Oversee sterile compounding in a licensed infusion center.

• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PharmD), or equivalent in Pharmacy.
• 2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist.
• Experience handling and processing insurances.
  
  

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current California Pharmacist License
  
  

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• 5 years of experience as full-time pharmacist
• 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a retail/community pharmacy setting
