Division of Information Technology Job Description
UM System is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible digital environment for all visitors, alumni, students, faculty, and staff. We are seeking a Business Technology Analyst - Digital Accessibility to support system-wide compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and ensure that all digital tools, platforms, and IT procurement processes align with accessibility best practices. This position will play a critical role in reviewing VPATs, evaluating HECVATs, and integrating accessibility into the IT procurement process to meet both institutional policy and federal regulatory obligations, including the ADA Title II mandate with a compliance deadline of April 24, 2027. Shift
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; two (2) days per week required on-site at the employee's assigned UM System campus (UMSL - St. Louis, MU - Columbia, UMKC - Kansas City, or MS&T - Rolla). Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in digital accessibility compliance, preferably in a higher education or public sector environment. Preferred Qualifications
* Digital accessibility certification preferred (WAS, CPACC, CPWA, etc.) * Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and ARIA sufficient to critically evaluate vendor accessibility claims and communicate effectively with technical teams * Working knowledge of PDF accessibility tools and remediation workflows * Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and cross-platform accessibility testing * Experience with IT service management platforms (e.g., TeamDynamix, ServiceNow, or similar) Anticipated Hiring Range
