Are you passionate about event planning and training? Join our team as a University Events and Assessment Training Specialist! In this dynamic role, you'll play a crucial part in enhancing our university's event management capabilities. You'll design and deliver training programs, coordinate major events, and assess their impact-all while ensuring alignment with our institution's strategic goals, thereby contributing significantly to our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development: Create and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources for faculty, staff, and student organizations. Event Planning & Coordination: Help organize university events, manage logistics, and collaborate with internal and external partners. Assessment & Evaluation: Develop tools to evaluate event success and provide actionable insights for improvement. Marketing & Communication: Promote events through strategic marketing and manage attendee communications. Administrative Support: Maintain records, track budgets, and support policy development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in event planning, training, or related areas.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in event management software.

University Events is to manage, coordinate, and facilitate annual plans for signature and marque events in the life of Winston-Salem State University. The primary function is to support events that include university-constituent relations on behalf of the Chancellor, as well as senior administration. When necessary, may also oversee interdepartmental coordination to organize and streamline the approach to university-wide events |
