Cape Fox Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for an Employee Assistance Program Counselor (EAPC) to support the National Institute of Health. The mission is to foster the wellness and work-life balance of employees. The EAP Counselor provides confidential clinical services, work/life services, wellness training, human resources consultation, critical incident stress debriefing, career coaching, and retirement planning.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $72,000- $80,000. This salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide short term counseling for NIH employees in person or by telephone.
  • Provide outreach services to NIH supervisors and management as requested.
  • Provide critical incident stress debriefing as indicated.
  • Act as a referral source to other NIH services, including but not limited to Ombudsman, CIVIL and Employee Relations.
  • Provide patient education about referral resources related to work/life balance concerns or local provider resources in the behavioral health field.
  • Assist in the development of presentations related to the Employee Assistance Program.
  • Assist in the development of outreach materials for the Employee Assistance Program.
  • Adhere to HIPPAA and confidentiality guidelines as accepted by the National Association of Social Workers.
  • Participate in health and wellness promotional activities within the NIH community.
  • Document assessments, telephone consults, and individual appointments in the electronic health records system.
  • Participate in providing quarterly report of services.
  • Participate in quality assurance projects for EAP and Occupational Medical Service.
  • Clinical skills, verbal communication, creating a safe and effective environment, organization, scheduling, professionalism, customer focus, confidentiality, and teamwork are the key attributes.
