  • The Mammography Tech supports the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease through the delivery of high-quality breast imaging services.
  • The position contributes to positive patient outcomes by producing accurate diagnostic images while promoting patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
  • This role maintains responsibility for compliance with breast imaging regulations, quality standards, and departmental expectations.
  • The Mammography Tech collaborates with radiologists and healthcare professionals to support timely clinical decision-making and exceptional patient care.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography.
  • Knowledge of mammography procedures, breast anatomy, and radiation safety principles.
  • Skill in operating mammography and breast imaging equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, professionalism, and patient confidentiality.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • 3+ years of mammography experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification in digital breast tomosynthesis.
  • Knowledge of advanced breast imaging technologies and workflows.
  • Skill in supporting breast interventional procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient experience goals.
