What You'll Do:


The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of all plant facilities, machinery, and equipment. This role involves hands-on work across multiple trades-including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, carpentry, and painting-as well as preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. The Senior Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the facility.




  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure consistent operation and minimize downtime.



  • Execute Multi-Trade Repairs: Perform plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, painting, and carpentry work on buildings, equipment, furniture, and grounds.



  • Troubleshoot & Repair Equipment: Diagnose issues, disassemble machinery, clean components, and replace damaged or worn parts to restore full functionality.



  • Manage Spare Parts Inventory: Track and maintain an appropriate stock of spare parts and maintenance supplies to support equipment reliability.



  • Maintain Work Records: Log all maintenance and repair activities to ensure accurate equipment histories and compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.



  • Coordinate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Supply Chain and Production teams to plan and execute safety and facility maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to operations.



  • Support Facility Upkeep: Perform general maintenance such as changing light bulbs and filters, moving office furniture or equipment, and removing snow or debris from walkways.



  • Provide Janitorial Support: Act as backup to janitorial staff as needed to maintain a clean and safe facility.



  • Mentor & Support Team Members: Provide technical guidance to maintenance support personnel and verify the accuracy and quality of their work.



  • Assist with Fabrication Projects: Design and fabricate jigs, fixtures, and tools to support production efficiency and innovation.


  • Perform Other Duties: Take on additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned to support operational goals and safety standards.



What We're Looking For



  • Intermediate knowledge in at least two areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatic and/or painting required.



  • Basic knowledge of production equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting techniques.



  • Building skills with wood and metal framing, including the installation of drywall.



  • Is willing and able to certify in forklift and scissor lift operation.



  • Must have ability to learn to set-up and operate machine tools such as circular and band saws, hand drills, drill presses, paint guns, and welding torches.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).



  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
