The Lead Systems Furniture Installer/Mover is responsible for leading furniture installation, reconfiguration, repair, inventory management, and relocation projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact for furniture installation activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with workplace standards and project requirements. The Lead Installer coordinates with Space Planners, project stakeholders, and installation teams to support furniture moves, renovations, and workspace reconfigurations

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead furniture installation, reconfiguration, and repair projects.
  • Interpret furniture installation drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate installation schedules, punch lists, and project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for installation contractors and project teams.
  • Manage furniture staging areas and installation inventory.
  • Provide quality control oversight for furniture installation projects.
  • Coordinate workstation key and lock installation, removal, replacement, and inventory management.
  • Support office moves, relocations, and workspace reconfigurations.
  • Ensure proper disposal, recycling, repurposing, and buy-back activities for excess furniture.
  • Work closely with Space Planners and end users to ensure accurate installations.
  • Retrieve furniture products and verify material availability before installations.
  • Train and guide junior installers during project execution.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure proper material handling procedures are followed



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience installing, reconfiguring, and repairing modular office furniture systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Herman Miller Action Office Two (AO2) and Canvas product lines.
  • Expert knowledge of Allsteel Strive and Steelcase Answers furniture systems.
  • Experience with KI Genius systems and Steelcase demountable glass wall partitions.
  • Furniture repair experience.
  • Warehouse and inventory management experience related to systems furniture.
  • Experience moving furniture, office equipment, boxes, and crates.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, including planning and execution of installation projects.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of proper storage, handling, and workplace safety procedures.


*Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
