Description
Job Responsibilities
- Leads assigned programs from project award through launch, and support through end of program.
- Has thorough understanding, documentation, and attainment of both external clients and internal stakeholders' requirements for quality, capacity, timing, and product characteristics.
- Develops from the requirements a clear path with task breakdown, assigned owners, budget, timing, and major milestones.
- Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.
- Manages proactive customer communications (meetings, reports, etc.) building working relationships with open and honest communication.
- Anticipates any issues and roadblocks to communicate to internal and external customers.
- Initiate and obtain approval of Major Expenditure Authorizations (MEAs) for program related equipment and tooling.
- Ensure compliance with IATF16949, MEC's APQP and other applicable procedures and policies including completion of gate approvals.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project.
- Demonstrated knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including weldments, laser cutting, and press brake operations.
- Experience in implementing and optimizing business processes is required.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is highly desired.
- Proficient with MRP systems, Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Time management and interpersonal skills are required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of two years of project management experience.
