Description

Gensler's San Francisco Brand Design team is seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate graphic designer to join our creative studio, a collaborative team of designers and storytellers that engages with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes. As Gensler brand experience designers, we help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today's diverse media landscape, with an emphasis on tangible experiences. Our approach combines design and architectural expertise with a unique point of view and strong communication skills. Your Role
As a Gensler Brand Designer, you will focus on ideation, design, documentation and implementation of graphic design, experiential graphic design and signage. Familiarity in digital experience design, motion graphics and 3D visualization is a plus.Our ideal candidate is a strong 2D and 3D designer with experience integrating concepts into built environments, who can quickly generate multiple concepts and develop them into viable design solutions. You have strong technical skills from design development through documentation, fabrication coordination, and production, and will coordinate between multiple internal project design teams, fabricators and clients. Projects will span multiple project types including sports venues, workplace, mixed-use developments, corporate campus, aviation, cultural institutions and education.

What You Will Do

  • Design visual communications, branded environments and experiences, including brand identity extension, environmental graphics, signage, and digital integration
  • Own your project tasks and deliverables while workingwithin a wider team, ensuring client's needs are met on time and within budget
  • Assist the Design Director indeveloping client relationships,winningnewwork,andcreatingandparticipatinginpitches
  • Compose design presentations that are both verbally and visually compelling
  • Interfaceandcoordinatewith multiple internal design practices, including architecture, interior design,andstrategy
  • Collaborate withother designers within varied project team sizes and provide mentorship for junior staff
  • Coordinate with external production partners to ensure delivery excellence
  • Communicate with clients to ensure design goals are met
  • Be able to multitask, working on various projects at once, often with tight deadlines and with careful attention to detail

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, environmental graphic design, information design, communication design, or similar
  • 5-10years of experience after graduation in design or a related field
  • Stronggraphic design,illustration, typography, composition, and information design skillsacross multiple project types
  • Experience designing for the built environment and comprehension of architectural scales, sections, plans, and elevations
  • Ability to visualize ideas in two and three-dimensions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and communication skills that work well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation skills with an ability to communicate the "why" behind design decisions
  • Software Competency:
  • Strongproficiency: Adobe Creative Suite(Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop),MS Office
  • Working Knowledge:Rhino, Sketchup or similar3D modeling software, Figma, After Effects, AI visualization
  • Nice to have:Revit,Adobe Premiere,Adobe Express,Final Cut Pro or similar.
