Bally's Intralot has an immediate opening for HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will be responsible for oversight and support across multiple HR disciplines. The ideal candidate must be able to professionally handle the multi-faceted requirements of a growing company with 600+ employees.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in at least one human resources discipline required; or, any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Previous working knowledge of payroll using ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and HRIS systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to administer policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas
  • Ability to analyze HR data, and then make recommendations to management
  • Familiar with HR standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to support day-to-day transactions relating to all phrases of the employee life cycle activities including training and development, recruitment and onboarding, benefit administration, employee data management, support compliance, reporting and record keeping, and compensation
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes with ability to demonstrate understanding
  • Strong technical skills / aptitude: Proficiency in MS Office programs (Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience working with a comprehensive HRIS System e.g., ADP Software, Time & Attendance and HR/Benefits HRIS or other HR/Payroll systems.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information successfully
  • General knowledge of labor laws, FMLA, ADA, FLSA
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize workload, assume and manage multiple tasks without close supervision, adapt to change, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid listening and coaching skills
  • Must possess general business management knowledge and analytical skills, human relations and people sensitive skills and exhibit good judgement
  • Strong attention to detail, documenting/summarizing conversations and guidance given
  • Ability to interact with employees at all organizational levels
  • Ability to exercise a high level of professionalism utilizing sound judgment and initiative

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resource Director, performs the following duties and responsibilities. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

  • Ability to deliver training sessions to new hires as needed
  • Assist with internal employee communications regarding training, compensation, benefits, or company policies.
  • Support the performance management process by training on the system, assisting with goal setting, and answering questions
  • Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; make recommendations for and maintain employee handbooks
  • Ability to process new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence in accordance with payroll periods including employee garnishments and assist with payroll processing
  • Generate adhoc reports from HRIS systems
  • May lead or be asked to facilitate focused Human Resources related projects/program management.
  • Performs as the liaison between employee benefit providers and the employees.
  • 401(k) and retirement plan coordination
  • Worker's compensation administration
  • OSHA and workplace safety programs
  • Assist with additional HR projects, events, and/or tasks as needed or requested

Security Requirements
