Role Overview:
VersAbility Resources is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming facilities in support of our Government Contracts operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and enjoys seeing the immediate results of a job well done.

No previous custodial experience is required. We are looking for candidates who are dependable, willing to learn established cleaning and safety procedures, and comfortable performing active, physical work throughout their shift. Previous experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, floor care, housekeeping, or a similar environment is strongly preferred but not required.

What You'll Do:
*Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, hallways, workspaces, and other assigned facility areas.
*Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, remove trash, replenish restroom supplies, and complete other routine cleaning tasks.
*Perform floor-care duties, which may include stripping, waxing, sweeping, and mopping.
*Safely use vacuums, floor-care machines, custodial equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals.
*Follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labels, chemical-handling instructions, and established safety procedures.
*Maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies and report equipment problems or supply needs.
*Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to established schedules, customer requirements, and quality standards.
*Complete required checklists, reports, and other documentation related to assigned custodial responsibilities.
*Identify and report spills, unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and other workplace issues.
*Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with coworkers, customers, government personnel, and others within the facility.
*Participate in required safety, equipment, and job-related training.
*Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required
*High school diploma or GED equivalent.
*REAL ID or U.S. Passport for required base access.
*Ability to learn and follow established custodial, cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
*Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, schedules, checklists, and customer requirements.
*Dependable attendance and ability to complete assigned work within established timeframes.
*Ability to work independently with appropriate direction and as part of a team.
*Ability to adapt to changing work assignments, schedules, priorities, and customer needs.

Preferred
Previous experience in custodial services, janitorial work, commercial cleaning, floor care, housekeeping, or a similar environment is strongly preferred but not required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position works in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments depending on the assigned site and customer requirements. Work areas may include offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, commercial or government facilities, and other assigned spaces.

The work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, odors, waste materials, wet or slippery surfaces, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise. Required personal protective equipment must be used as appropriate.

The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and repetitive cleaning activities. Employees must be able to push and pull custodial carts and cleaning equipment and lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential duties and physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. VersAbility Resources provides reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.

Schedule:
This position is on-site in our Yorktown Medical location, and the schedule is Part Time, 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 2pm-5pm.

Candidates must be flexible in adjusting their schedule based on operational needs, customer requirements, contract requirements, and assigned worksite needs. Work schedules and assignments may vary based on the requirements of the assigned site.

Compensation Notice:
Compensation for this position is established by the applicable government contract and/or wage determination. The posted pay reflects the fixed rate authorized for this position and is not subject to negotiation except where permitted by applicable law or contract requirements.

In addition to the applicable hourly wage, this position is eligible for a Health and Welfare benefit of $5.42 per hour, provided in accordance with the applicable government contract and benefit requirements.
