Position Title: Biospecimen Coordinator

Assignment Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension based on performance and business need)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required based on business needs)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Biospecimen Coordinator. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring that sample shipments are processed, triaged, and tracked with high precision. Background & Context:
You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate chain of custody and supporting various workflow improvements within the BioSample Management Group. Key Responsibilities:
* Sample Intake & Triage: Receive, open, and triage incoming sample shipments, directing them to the appropriate testing locations.
* Accessioning & QC: Perform sample accessioning and conduct quality control checks on demographic data entry to ensure accuracy.
* Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding held or rejected samples, resolving issues promptly.
* Labeling & Documentation: Execute sample labeling and perform final quality control checks to verify labeling accuracy.
* Pathology Support: Image stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within established timelines.
* Logistics Coordination: Manage internal and client requests, including global sample shipments, while maintaining rigorous chain of custody standards.
* Operational Management: Oversee the team inbox to ensure all requests are tracked and completed.
* Process Improvement: Lead and drive deliverables for assigned process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group.
* General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualification & Experience:
* Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience.
* Problem Solver: You possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
* Communication Skills: You are a clear, professional communicator, both verbally and in writing.
* Detail-Oriented: You have a meticulous approach to your work and a high standard for quality.
* Multitasker: You can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with biosample management and accessioning; good Google Suite/Microsoft office skills (e.g., MS Word/Excel, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.); experience with LIMS or other sample tracking software. Education Requirement:
