POSITION DESCRIPTION

A Project Manager at SET Environmental / WCEC is responsible to:

  • Provide leadership in all aspects of client projects including client development, client management, and management of projects
  • Support Senior Project Managers in project execution, client development, and corporate objectives
  • Participate in SET / WCEC's Emergency Response program including on-call rotation
  • Meet your average billable goals and manage achievement of staff/team goals
  • Lead environmental project work including investigation, remediation, sample collection, data analysis, while working alongside and supporting other Project Managers and Senior Managers on multiple projects
  • Manage environmental permitting, investigation, and remediation tasks
  • Coordinate and delivers on-schedule and on-budget tasks
  • Coordinate and oversees the work of subcontractors
  • Develop junior staff, particularly in the areas of technical data collection, sample collection, site management, report preparation, and client relations through skills training and on the job experience
  • Conduct performance evaluations for applicable staff
  • Direct and perform fieldwork which may include soil sampling, groundwater sampling, surface water sampling, biological sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, and vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys
  • Write and prepare environmental permits, technical reports, work plans, letters, and memorandums
  • Perform office work which can include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts
  • Perform report preparation, writing and review
  • Recor and maintains detailed scientific field notes accurately
  • Adhere to SET / WCEC's quality assurance/quality control procedures
  • Follow SET / WCEC's health and safety policies, responsible for on-site safety

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year degree, preferably in a technical field
  • 10+ years of related industry experience
  • Leadership skills & Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic Accounting skills
  • Advanced Problem-solving and Decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation & telephone) with all department levels
  • Organizational skills, Time management skills & Multiple task management skills
  • Advanced Computer skills
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call
