About the Role

GHT is seeking a bright and motivated electrical design engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited college or university, with 10+ years of experience in Electrical Power Distribution and/or Electrical Design for Commercial Interiors. Current Professional Engineering license is required for North Carolina (LEED accreditation preferred). The role may be focused on design, design/project management and hands-on leadership.

Candidate must possess the following skills, traits, and credentials:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in electrical design for commercial office and other building projects including utility coordination, lighting systems design, power distribution system design, fire alarm system design, stand by electrical system design, and electrical construction documentation preparation.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of building, electrical codes, energy codes, and applicable NFPA standards.
  • Reflect a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness as well as be motivated to excel, able to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Capable of organizing workflow and delegating tasks to others while being willing to learn.
  • Possess good visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a discipline leader on multiple projects.
  • Able to lead and develop a team of engineers and designers.
  • Possess proficiency in the management of MEP teams.
  • Be proficient with Revit.
  • Able to travel to job sites and conduct site visits, including carrying equipment/materials; climbing, sitting, standing, walking, balancing.
  • GHT participates in E-Verify.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Certain projects may have extra requirements
