The Opportunity:

The Communication Content Manager provides strategic leadership for division-wide communications and marketing initiatives. This role oversees multi-channel campaigns, major event promotion, executive-level messaging, key publications, and supervises team members responsible for content creation and copy editing. The Communication Content Manager collaborates across campus and with external partners to ensure consistent, high-impact messaging that advances institutional priorities and stakeholder engagement.

Classification Title: Communications Manager

Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to the director, division leadership, and communications team, providing guidance on stakeholder engagement and messaging that aligns with UCF's brand standards and strategic priorities.

  • Manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, web, social media) for major events, initiatives, accomplishments, and announcements for the division.

  • Lead content development and design direction for print and digital materials ensuring accuracy, quality, and visual consistency for all units within the division.

  • Supervise staff as assigned.

  • Create editorial governance across units to ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and with vice provost/AVP vision and key institutional priorities.

  • Coordinate cross-campus and external partnerships to maintain unified messaging and collaborative outreach.

  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess impact and inform strategy improvements.

  • Produce executive-level communications for the Vice Provost and leadership team, including announcements, presentations, and talking points.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Experience in higher education, online learning, or educational technology.

  • Demonstrated success leading strategic communications and marketing campaigns.

  • Experience producing executive-level communications; supervisory experience. Knowledge of brand governance and editorial strategy.

  • Proficiency with digital marketing analytics and communication technologies.

  • Experience collaborating across complex organizations to advance institutional priorities.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation, digital storytelling, multimedia communications, and emerging communications technologies.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000 to negotiable. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

  • All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and the university cannot accommodate H1B transfers or employment-based visa processing for individuals currently sponsored by another employer.
