Description
As a Global Account Manager, you will drive strategic business development within some of the world's most influential organizations, building executive relationships and identifying opportunities to grow Steelcase's presence across global enterprises.
Working within the Global Client Collaboration (GCC) Low Share Practice, you'll leverage Steelcase research and insights to help clients solve business challenges and create meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for targeted global accounts with significant expansion potential.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, executive sponsors, and C-suite stakeholders across client organizations.
  • Identify business challenges, strategic priorities, and organizational objectives to uncover new opportunities for partnership.
  • Leverage Steelcase research, insights, and workplace expertise to challenge conventional thinking and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate across global teams, dealer partners, and internal subject matter experts to advance strategic opportunities.
  • Pursue and secure new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
  • Develop market-entry and competitive positioning strategies, including pricing and value-based selling approaches.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional pursuit teams throughout the business development process.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience while building long-term trust and advocacy.
  • Facilitate successful transitions of mature opportunities to ongoing account management and sales teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of success driving business growth through consultative B2B sales, business development, dealer channel management, or related commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring and growing strategic accounts within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing business with Fortune 1000, multinational, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Understanding of the contract furniture industry, commercial interiors industry, or related business-to-business distribution models.
  • Strong business development mindset with a proven ability to identify, pursue, and win net-new opportunities.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence decisions across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong executive presence with confidence engaging senior leaders and C-suite decision-makers.
  • Ability to identify and leverage the right internal resources, expertise, and partnerships to advance strategic opportunities and drive results within high-stakes accounts.
  • Experience leading cross-functional pursuit teams without direct authority.

In compliance with California's Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the annual base salary range for this position is $138,100 - $215,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Steelcase considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
