Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager, SEC Reporting supports the preparation and coordination of the Company's external financial reporting activities, as well as the monthly and quarterly close process. This role will assist in the preparation of SEC financial filings, consolidated financial statements and footnotes, and financial information supporting quarterly earnings, participate in the month end close process including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and helping to maintain the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a track record of accurate, timely reporting in a fast-paced, publicly traded environment. This position reports to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and coordinate assigned sections of Forms 10-K and 10-Q, including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare month end close journal entries and account reconciliations, as assigned.
- Assist with the preparation and tie-out of financial information included in quarterly earnings releases and other external reporting materials. Includes partnering with accounting to ensure that appropriate footnote support is prepared and provided.
- Maintain detailed disclosure checklists, supporting workpapers, filing calendars, and review documentation to support accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor newly issued and emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance and assess potential implications for the Company in partnership with the Director.
- Partner with external auditors, Legal, FP&A, and business stakeholders to obtain, validate, and document information required for financial reporting.
- Support documentation and testing of internal controls related to financial reporting and assigned accounting processes, including remediation of identified deficiencies.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures in response to evolving accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Support reporting-system, ERP, and process enhancements that improve data integrity, efficiency, audit readiness, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline SEC reporting workpapers, disclosure processes, and review controls.
- Provide support for special projects and analysis of significant or nonroutine transactions, as assigned.
- Act as a trusted partner to the organization and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA or active progress towards CPA licensure preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or reporting experience.
- Public accounting experience or SEC reporting experience with a publicly traded company preferred.
- Strong financial reporting and accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements.
- Advances proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP and SEC reporting or disclosure-management software preferred.
- Life science / biotech experience a plus.

Pay Range: $116,000 - $174,000 per year |
