NIQ isseekingahighly motivatedanddetail-orientedSeniorManagerofCorporateAccountingto join our growing finance team.This individual will serve as the subject-matter expert along with managing and mentoring a team of hub accountantsfor accounting areas critical to our business including, but not limited to,internally-developedsoftware(IDSW), property and equipment (i.e., fixed assets) andoperatingand finance leases. Theywill be instrumental inensuringcompliance withaccounting standards, managingmonthly / quarterly / annual closeprocessesandsupportingothercomplex accounting areas as NIQ continues its journey as a public company.

This position will report to theAssistant Global Corporate Controller.

Key Activities, Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Oversee the accounting for IDSW projects, including capitalization assessments, costtrackingand useful lifeevaluations
  • Establish andmaintainpolicies and controls for software development cost identification,classificationand stage-basedaccounting
  • Partner with Engineering,Productand IT tovalidateproject statuses, upcomingreleasesand developmentmilestones
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, assettrackinganddisposals
  • Maintain capitalization thresholds and policies to ensure consistent application across theCompany
  • Partner with FacilitiesandProcurement to ensuretimelyandaccuraterecording of asset additions andretirements
  • Ensure fixed asset subledger integrity and oversee ongoing processimprovements
  • Oversee the accounting foroperatingand finance leases in compliance with ASC 842, including ROU asset and lease liability recognition,remeasurementsandmodifications
  • Reviewnew contracts and amendments to assess lease classification, embedded leaseconsiderationsand termassumptions
  • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement and Facilities to ensure completeness of the lease population andtimelycapture of contractchanges
  • Maintain and enhance processes with lease administration systems and ensureaccuratemonthlyreporting
  • Overseemonthly,quarterlyandannualclose processesfor all assigned areas,adhering to strictdeadlines
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations,rollforwardsand fluxanalyses
  • Support financial statement disclosure preparation related to IDSW, fixed assets andleases
  • Support external audits, acting as the primary liaison for areas ofresponsibility
  • Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), including documentation, controldesignand operatingeffectiveness
  • Evaluate existing processes and drive automation, systemenhancementsand best practiceworkflows
  • Support system integrations related to fixed assets, projectaccountingand lease managementtools
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP andinternalcorporate accountingpolicies
  • Manageand mentora team of hub accountants,providing training,guidanceandperformancefeedback
  • Contribute to process-improvementinitiatives(e.g., ERP enhancements)byleveragingtechnology that could automate or speed up internalprocesses

Qualifications

  • IDSW projects, including capitalization assessments, costtrackingand useful lifeevaluations required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountingora relatedfield.
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of7-10years ofprogressiverelevant experience in public accounting(Big 4 preferred)or within amedium to largeinternational organization.
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 350-40 (software), ASC 360 (fixed assets)and ASC 842 (leases)
  • Stronginterpersonal skillswith excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability tooperateindependently; capable of engaging professionally across all levels.
  • Proven ability tomanage multiple priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail orientedwitha proactiveapproach to problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Self-motivatedand capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Skilledat building relationships and working cross-functionally with various departments and levels of management.
  • Experience with ERPand consolidationsystems, preferably SAP orOneStreamis a plus.
  • Familiaritywith lease accounting tools(Costar,Nakisa).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
  • ExperiencewithUS GAAPaccounting, administration andanalysesandSOX-compliantcontrols for multinational companies transacting in multiple currencies.
QualificationsAdditional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $140,000 - $165,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
