Join ChristianaCare's Center for Translational Cancer Research and contribute to innovative cancer research that helps advance patient care and scientific discovery.

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant I to support laboratory research activities and work alongside scientists and research professionals in a collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Process patient tumor specimens for the development of patient-derived organoid cultures.

  • Maintain organoid cultures, including passaging, cryopreservation, thawing, and quality control.

  • Perform routine cell culture using sterile laboratory techniques.

  • Assist with laboratory assays, sample preparation, and data collection.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and electronic documentation.

  • Support data entry, organization, analysis, and report generation.

  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and reagent preparation.

  • Follow all laboratory safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related research experience.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related field.

  • Experience with molecular biology techniques and cell culture.

Annual Compensation Range $40,518.40 - $58,739.20 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
