Munich Re Life US is seeking an experienced disability underwriting professional to serve as a strategic partner in advancing our individual disability income (IDI) growth objectives. This role will combine deep disability underwriting expertise with market knowledge, business development support, client engagement, and innovation leadership to help strengthen Munich Re's position as a premier disability reinsurance partner. The Director, Disability Underwriting Strategy & Market Development, will work closely with underwriting, business development, product, technology, and client stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, drive underwriting innovation, support the adoption of emerging technologies, and enhance Munich Re's thought leadership within the disability marketplace. In addition to supporting current strategic priorities, this role will help build organizational capability and preserve critical disability underwriting expertise to ensure continued market leadership and long-term succession readiness. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $160,000 to $185,000, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
