Description |
The Global Controller, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, plays a significant role in driving the company's financial strategy. This role ensures business, operational and procedural compliance with internal company policies to mitigate risk for the Company. This position leads the Global Accounting team and through that team provides guidance in all areas of finance. |

Responsibilities:
- Oversees the Global Accounting team and drives the development of a world class accounting function, encompassing all areas of accounting; including successful integration of acquisitions; setting common practices for all businesses and driving consistency in reporting, compliance, accounting treatments and practices globally.
- Manage local treasury functions. Lead teams responsible for banking, cash management, credit management and payables across the organization.
- Oversee global financial reporting by ensuring adherence to reporting timelines for both internal and external reporting.
- Oversee and ensure the group remains tax compliant in all global operation locations and identify any tax risks for any new locations the group looks to operate in.
- Strategic business partner to senior leadership, offering financial insights and recommendations to support the achievement of organizational objectives
- Collaborate with leaders to understand their objectives and provide financial guidance for strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies across the organization, mitigating financial risks and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit cycle.
- Evaluate existing financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Drive the implementation of technological solutions to streamline financial operations and reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and contribute to their career growth.
- Supports the preparation of the annual company budget package.
- To carry out special projects or other duties as needed

Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; a Master's degree and CPA qualification strongly preferred
- Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles
Experience:
- Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting.
- Experience with corporate governance.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and relevant financial regulations.
- International experience with global entities, particularly in Europe and Asia, strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results
- Ability to work within a multi-functional, global organizational structure and exhibits robust interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills and analytical abilities which allow assessment of customer service issues, situations and opportunities
- Self-motivated and able to work within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent proficiency within Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
- Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan workload effectively and delegate.
