Job Description

Job Summary

Visa Direct is a global push payments platform that enables fast, secure fund transfers to cards, accounts, and wallets worldwide. It supports high growth use cases including person to person payments, gig-economy and merchant payouts, insurance disbursements, and merchant settlements, within a global push payments market estimated to exceed 80 trillion in annual payment volume.

The Solutions Manager will lead Client Onboarding excellence & scaling across the North America Visa Direct portfolio, partnering with clients and internal stakeholders ensuring consistent and scalable onboarding experience across products, and client segments. This role partners closely with Solutions Managers, Product, Compliance, Risk, Client Services, Sellers and Account Managers to understand and strategize business needs, design scalable onboarding solutions, and drive successful client outcomes. Working alongside senior solutions leaders and cross functional teams, the Solutions Manager plays a key role in improving client and internal customer experience by defining seamless and efficient onboarding processes and best practices.

The ideal candidate brings strong client onboarding, implementation, delivery, and technical problem-solving skills, coupled with exposure to payments or financial services and an interest in global money movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive onboarding excellence as part of the Visa Direct Onboarding Center of Excellence, developing standardized processes, playbooks, engagement models, and best practices across the Visa Direct ecosystem.
  • Own onboarding governance, support launch readiness, risks, issues, escalations, and operational handoffs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure implementation progress is measurable through onboarding KPIs, milestone tracking, launch readiness reviews, and reporting against defined service levels and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying onboarding bottlenecks, recommending process enhancements, and leveraging automation and GenAI-enabled capabilities to improve efficiency and client experience.
  • Contribute Voice of Customer insights, onboarding observations, and implementation feedback into Product, Network, and Solutioning teams to influence future roadmap and operational improvements.
  • Maintain visibility into onboarding pipeline, capacity, and launch readiness metrics to support prioritization and resource planning.
  • Serve as a Visa Direct onboarding subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, client financial institutions, and partners.
  • Support solutioning activities as part of the broader Solutions organization, contributing to client discovery, solution design, and technical sales efforts
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills while operating independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, customer-focused environment.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

  • Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or technology-driven onboarding/implementation environments with an understanding of payment ecosystems, and transaction flows.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in presenting and communicating complex/detailed topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leaders.

  • Experience leading complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, and productivity tools to improve operational efficiency, onboarding experiences, or client outcomes.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to execute complex projects independently.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.

  • Experience managing client onboarding, launch readiness, operational handoffs, or implementation of governance frameworks.

  • Experience supporting technical sales engagements, solution design workshops, or client discovery sessions.

  • Proven experience with Card Networks or Real Time Money Movement.

  • Experience with API-based products, payment services & solutions, platform integrations, and client onboarding workflows.

  • Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, dynamic, and customer-focused environments.

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $146,200.00 to $ 233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
