Job Description

Overview:

This role supports the Issuing Solutions business within the Value-Added Services division of Visa, which generated 10.9 billion USD of revenue in 2025.

The responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Develop and execute on the long-term strategy of Issuing Solutions
  • Lead special projects and initiatives and
  • Respond to various matters that require executive attention.

This role operates at the intersection of many geographies and functional areas, requiring organizational savviness and strong interpersonal skills. This is a unique opportunity to drive the organizational excellence of Visa's business while collaborating with executives on a regular basis.

This role reports to VP, Operations and Strategy for Issuing Solutions with a dual reporting line to VP of Strategy for Value-Added Services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects related to long-range strategy development and assessments of significant opportunities - including potential acquisitions - and threats.
  • Structure and solve business problems by collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders. Organize and prioritize critical information, issues, and data to facilitate efficient decision making. Build out unique, creative, and impactful recommendations.
  • Design and manage major planning activities, which may include annual strategy development and objective and key results (OKR) formulation, ongoing business performance and resource allocation checkpoints, or various other activities such as reporting.
  • Coordinate with functional partners to design and manage key reports that meet the goals of the leadership team. Proactively review a subset of reports/updates to flag areas that require executive attention.
  • Lead the creation of materials for various meetings such as Board meetings, executive forums, and external client councils/forums.
  • Indirectly manage subset of team members and provide continuous coaching and training to teammates.

  • Experience in managing a team of individual contributors on major cross-functional projects at a global matrix organization.
  • Able to adjust to multiple tasks / demands and shifting priorities under time constraints.
  • A hands-on approach to all activities with an unwavering passion for excellence that is contagious.

AI Fluency:

  • Strong understanding of emerging AI capabilities and technology trends, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to embed AI into products and experiences to improve customer outcomes and drive business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to improve strategic analysis and accelerate insight generation.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in Payments and Financial Services
  • Executive-level Business Acumen
  • Acts as an enterprise thinker with the ability and strong command to connect business strategy, financial objectives, customer priorities, and market trends.
  • Ability to grasp and distill complex issues.
  • Commercially astute with experience working in a fast-paced and evolving global matrix organization.


Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $179,300 to $369,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). If you are located in Colorado, the estimated salary range for this position is $ to $ USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
