Organizational Unit Overview
The College of Business ( COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. A strategic goal of the college is to create an environment where the faculty, staff, and students can thrive and be personally and professionally respected.
The Miller School of Entrepreneurship within the College of Business at ECU has approximately 300 undergraduate majors and over 7 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department seeks to attract faculty of the highest caliber skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching and application of knowledge
Job Duties
The Miller School of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track or tenured, nine-month faculty position beginning August 2027. The successful candidate will be able to teach some combination of undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship courses. The standard teaching load is 9 scheduled hours in each of the fall and spring semesters. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.

Minimum Education/Experience
This appointment requires a terminal degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship, or related field, that is from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing as a Scholarly Academic under AACSB guidelines. Candidates with the terminal degree conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. This position requires evidence of the ability to develop, implement, and maintain a significant ongoing research agenda as well as evidence of excellence in teaching.

Prefer candidate with terminal degree conferred and interest in Entrepreneurship.Related teaching experience and evidence of successful high-quality refereed journal scholarship will be considered favorably.
