Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Recovery Advocacy - RWJBarnabas Health At the Institute for Prevention and Recovery (IFPR), the Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Recovery Advocacy becomes part of a purpose-driven team serving as a key link between our organization, the community we serve, and the wider healthcare sector. As Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our hospital and substance-use treatment provider relationships, fostering staff morale, and ensuring that our commitment to the tenets of substance-use recovery is maintained at all times. You will establish strong partnerships with healthcare and substance-use treatment providers, develop comprehensive strategies to engage the community, and promote advocacy for individuals with substance-use disorders, coordinating collaborative projects that advance effective, compassionate, patient-centered care. You will also ensure that IFPR staff members uphold the main tenets of person-first, patient-centered substance-use recovery by providing the training and resources they need to deliver quality care aligned with these principles.
