Landscape Gardener, Equipment Operator

• 
  Landscape maintenance - Dowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to keep grounds neat and healthy.
• 
  Daily Maintenance - Removing trash, debris, leaves, and snow depending on the season. Ensuring flower beds are weed-free.
• 
  Equipment operation - operate tractors, frontend loaders, ride-on mowers, pressure washers, and pickup trucks to perform ground maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
• 
  Hand tools - Ability to operate battery-powered equipment such as gas push mowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, hand pruners, and saws.
• 
  Hardscape - Performing small fixes such as resetting loose pavers, patching cracks, leveling uneven surfaces, and replacing damaged stones or bricks to prevent trip hazards.
• 
  Irrigation upkeep - Monitoring and troubleshooting minor irrigation repairs.
• 
  Work order management - Using a universityissued mobile phone to receive, review, and complete customer service requests through the institution's workorder system. Mulches and provides necessary care to a variety of ornamental plants.
• 
  Others - Performs other work-related duties as requested. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

• 1.5 years of experience in landscaping or related.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and handle repetitive tasks.
• The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter and enjoys working in a team environment.
• Experience with different types of equipment and garden machinery.
• Additionally, this candidate possesses integrity and excellent customer service skills.
• Time management- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
