Position Purpose







The Development Specialist Events position is responsible for all Renown Health Foundation's fundraising and non-fundraising events. In addition, this position will also be responsible for securing corporate sponsorships to offset event costs. The Development Specialist Events position manages end-to-end event details, oversees registration, ticket sales, volunteers, financial reporting, and works closely with Marketing on invitations, campaigns, and press releases.

This position also represents Renown Health and Renown Health Foundation in the community. Without an active Foundation, Renown Health would miss out on a significant source of funding.







Nature and Scope







The Development Specialist Events position works under the direction of the Senior Director of Community Development. This position is highly visible to Renown Health employees, senior management, physicians, and donors. High standards of courtesy, performance and respect for confidentiality are essential. Independent judgment is required for appropriate decision-making, problem-solving, problem-solving and priority setting.

Job responsibilities:



  • Generate revenue to reach targets.
  • Prepare and implement detailed event plans that include goal setting with strategies and tactics to increase participation and fundraising, as well as stewardship.
  • Serve as the main contact for all fundraising and non-fundraising events.
  • Research and develop new ideas as it relates to events to achieve Foundation fundraising goals.
  • Provide direction and collaborate with Foundation team to track results, ensure accurate reporting and create meaningful, timely and customized event recognition and program information.
  • Lead the identification, recruitment, and support of high-level volunteers who will participate in fundraising and non-fundraising events.
  • Represent the Foundation in the community by participating in appropriate civic organizations, and professional growth activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements - Required and/or Preferred








Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree preferred, with emphasis in business administration, or equivalent experience.





Experience:



One to two years' experience in fund development, knowledge of donor database/software preferred

Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
