A Day in the Life:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to Plant Management, Human Resources, and Safety teams, helping ensure efficient operations, effective communication, and a safe, productive work environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide administrative support to Plant Management, Human Resources, and Safety teams, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other plant documentation.
  • Assist with employee onboarding activities, orientation scheduling, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with safety program administration, including training records, audits, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
  • Track and maintain employee certifications, training requirements, and compliance deadlines.
  • Coordinate plant communications, announcements, employee events, and engagement activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring professional and timely support.
  • Assist with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by Plant Management.
  • Maintain accurate records and support document control processes for operational, HR, and safety programs.
  • Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the facility.
  • Provide office support through cross-training and vacation coverage.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, post-secondary preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to agribusiness activities and related transactions preferred.
  • Exposure to using enterprise business applications such as SAP, GTM preferred.
  • Business Warehouse, or comparable commodity or ERP system preferred.
  • Experience with end-user tools - e.g. MS Excel, Word required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and analytical skills required.
