About the Role Thermal Transfer Products is growing and looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead continuous improvement across our materials planning, logistics, and fulfillment functions. This is a critical leadership role accountable for delivering world-class results in On-Time Delivery, Fill Rates, Inventory Turns, and Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory, while overseeing Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L), Procurement, Master Scheduling, and Inventory Control at the site level. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative, data-driven approach to partnering with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, and is energized by driving material flow, inventory optimization, and strategic sourcing in a low-volume, high-mix, engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities * Provide overall leadership to the Supply Chain, Planning, Shipping and Receiving, and Warehouse departments, driving effective communication between Finance, Operations, Sales, and customers. * Identify and implement processes that improve lead times, costs, cash flow/inventory, and service by continuously monitoring and analyzing the flow of goods. * Participates in the local SIOP/S&OP process, balancing trade-offs between revenue, customer service, cash flow, and total cost through integrated business planning. * Manage material planning, inventory control, logistics coordination, and material flow operations to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules, inventory targets, and customer demand. * Align current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacity to ensure on-time fulfillment of customer orders. * Monitor and improve KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, freight costs, and on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy and process efficiency. * Oversee inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess inventory, minimize shortages, and improve inventory turns. * Identify and resolve operational issues related to material shortages, supply disruptions, logistics delays, or planning constraints. * Develop and execute a multi-year, data-driven sourcing strategy - including low-cost country and regional sourcing options - to reduce total cost of acquisition while managing tariff exposure, geopolitical risk, and supply chain disruption. * Manage the local supply base, overseeing purchasing programs and category management to ensure adherence to cost, quality, and delivery standards. * Lead supplier negotiations and commercial terms, and hold suppliers accountable to quality, cost, and on-time delivery performance. * Lead the site logistics/transportation function and local 3PL relationships to optimize the trade-off between cost and service. * Manage material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes and drive successful implementation of approved engineering releases. * Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, production, logistics, and demand planning teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment. * Maintain accurate data and reporting within ERP and planning systems and analyze data to prepare consolidated management reports that guide plant/product-line supply chain execution, with a focus on total cost optimization. * Plan, justify, and manage annual operating budgets, forecasting, and resource planning in line with plant objectives. * Ensure compliance with company procedures, inventory control standards, and operational policies. * Represent the site on API Functional Councils, contributing to and leveraging best practices and standard processes across the network. * Lead, coach, and develop Materials Planning and Logistics and Supply Chain personnel - including buyers, planners, logistics, procurement, inventory, scheduling- through training, performance management, and cross-training. Required Education & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or Master's in Supply Chain a plus. * 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership, including material planning, inventory management, logistics, procurement, SIOP/S&OP, and Production/Capacity Planning in a multi-national manufacturing environment. * 5+ years managing direct reports and large-scale operations; proven leadership, supervisory, and team-development experience. * Demonstrated experience building and executing integrated supply chain and sourcing strategies, including category management and cost/price modeling. * Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics operations, and material planning processes, with the analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to drive operational execution in a dynamic environment. * Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across a complex, multi-dimensional business. * Experience in a low-volume, high-mix, engineered-to-order manufacturing environment preferred; experience in automotive, aerospace, or distribution operations also valued. * Prior experience applying AI-powered tools and advanced analytics within a manufacturing supply chain to improve material planning, inventory control, supplier management, production scheduling, and overall operational efficiency. * Proficient knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and equipment used in the design and production of goods. * Proficiency with ERP systems (PLEX, SAP, or Oracle) and strong Excel/data analysis skills. * Lean Training required; Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred. * Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), APICS CPIM/CSCP, or a related professional certification preferred.
