Automation Tester

Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:



  • Build, maintain, and scale robust automated test and deployment frameworks for web applications, APIs.
  • Perform manual functional, exploratory, regression, and usability testing on web applications
  • Review product requirements, design comprehensive test plans, write detailed manual test cases, and define clear criteria for automation candidate selection.
  • Integrate automated test suites and validation steps directly into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality and rapid feedback loops.
  • Identify repetitive manual testing, operational tasks, and workflows, transforming them into reliable, maintainable automated scripts
  • Analyze automated run failures, isolate root causes, log defects, and track issues through resolution alongside development teams.
  • Establish best practices for code design in automation, conduct code reviews for test suites, and maintain clear framework documentation.
  • Work independently while collaborating with other team members, managing your workload efficiently and delivering quality solutions.
  • Advocate for quality best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)



Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in test automation, software development, or DevOps engineering.
  • At least five (5) years' experience in Information Technology
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or scripting language (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#)
  • Hands-on experience with modern automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or REST Assured) and Atlassian tools
  • Familiarity with source control (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in application and database development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • US residency of 3+ years



Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):



  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).



This is a full-time position paying a base salary of $120,000 - 130,000, full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance. To be considered for this position, please apply online with a resume.
