Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovation Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas. In this hands-on role, you'll support the Configuration Management and Component Engineering teams of Mercury Systems working on variety of defense and warfare products.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate the engineering change management process using our product lifecycle management systems.
  • Facilitate analysis of design configurations for bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Perform obsolescence reviews and obsolescence management of electronic components ensuring operation continuity.
  • Perform part creation, administration, and data management ensuring end-to-end part lifecycle.
  • Perform component level analysis for compliance with reliability requirements.


Required Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program inengineering discipline, manufacturing discipline, or supply chain discipline

  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process


  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Able to translate engineering knowledge into structured business processes and decision-support systems
  • Self-starter and motivated to deliver impactful results

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with EIA-649 standard for configuration management
  • Familiarity with end-of-life management practices for electronic components
  • Familiarity with electronic components at a technical and fabrication level
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, or other business intelligence or analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with hardware engineering design principles
  • Familiarity with GIDEP, part change notices, Silicon Expert (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Python and data analysis tools
  • Comfortable preparing and giving presentations
