Job Summary SummaryUnder the supervision of the Manager or Director of Support Services, the Patient Transport/Custodian is responsible for assisting patients and visitors as they enter and exit the hospital. Alongside patient transport duties, this role will provide support by performing essential Environmental Services tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning as directed by the Supervisor. Responsibilities include maintaining both internal and external areas of the campus, as well as actively participating in snow removal and storm preparation activities. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Maintain a courteous, calm, and pleasant manner at all times. -Represent the entity in a positive manner in all communications. -Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining positive and effective work. -Proactively provide assistance to patients in both entering and leaving the facility. -Duties include escorting, providing wheelchair assistance, and offering directions, among others. -Maintain a respectful and professional appearance at all times. -Use of the two-way radio will be circumspect and professional at all times. -Participate in departmental emergency procedures.
