This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive (San Diego, CA) and remote.

DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Beacon Application Analyst will be responsible for design, building, testing, and implementation of Epic's Beacon oncology/infusion module and related clinical application systems. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Have in-depth, expert knowledge of the Epic Beacon product and/or infusion workflows.

Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. Provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. As a technical leader in clinical applications, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and/or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus five (5) years of relevant experience/training.

  • Broadly encompassing or highly in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support, training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing.

  • Advanced ability to apply problem-resolution skills to highly complex issues; quickly diagnose problems and develop, test, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills to effectively train, support, and work in collaboration with clinical users, research staff, and key stakeholders at all professional and technical levels.

  • Advanced organizational and project management skills; ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills to convey highly technical information to all levels of clinical and research staff in a specific, clear, and concise manner.

  • Advanced analytical skills and expertise in documentation and reporting, with the ability to apply metrics, plan and implement testing systems, collect and analyze performance data, and produce substantive reports for management.

  • Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, in collaboration with key personnel and management systems, improvements, upgrades, and industry advances and trends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Epic Beacon Certification.

  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
