Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Planning Analyst to serve as the central coordinator for Production Control operations, managing the flow of materials and production activities from component acquisition through final shipment to ensure on-time customer delivery. You will report to the Planning/Sales Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries.

To be considered for the Planning Analyst, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or 5 years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex regulations, procedures related to purchasing, manufacturing, production control, assembly and test and data processing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Infor/SyteLine ideal).
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Systems & Data Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of production schedules by proactively maintaining ERP/MRP data and analyzing system alerts, exceptions, and planning flags.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for routing data management, including creating, updating, and deleting routing notes as needed.
  • Analyze and process planned order reports in the ERP system to support material availability, production scheduling, and customer delivery commitments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of part planning parameters in line with the established materials strategy, inventory plan, and demand profile of the business
  • Responsible for conversion of demand signals into Work Orders in accordance with defined Planning systems and processes
  • Track & action material shortages and lead times to mitigate all risks to the production plan
  • Develop achievable & balanced production plans that align with Customer demands / schedules, through capacity analysis and collaboration with appropriate team members. Escalate impacts to plan or customer.
  • Determine Engineering Order change effectiveness and impacts on schedules or obsolescence management.
  • Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss individual piece part/program status, and support audits as needed for customer owned inventory.
  • Responsible for WIP on planner code and maintain optimal levels for the value stream.
  • Responsible for providing work center scheduling method/clear to build status.
  • Facilitate the analysis, review & update of Planning Bill of Materials (PBOMs) in accordance with demand changes.
  • Construct Line of Balance (LOBs). Communicate identified gaps and priorities. Monitors progress to completion.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, within the functional Planning department as well as the Value Stream teams.

Salary Range Transparency:

Mineral Wells, TX $70,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
